Carmine`s Parkside Pizza in Downingtown

Carmine's is our local go-to for a quick bite. The food is good and the employees are friendly. It's not going to blow you away but the pizza and cheese steaks are good. If you live nearby you should be going here.

Super impressed. We were seated quickly by the friendliest person. We had a large party of kids and our pizzas came quickly and hot. Delicious Pizza and I’m very picky! I recommend this establishment with all my heart!

They were fine for years.. but recently service has been horrible. People have been rude, food made to not right. Or food made just different and soggy. It’s more cheap than anything

Great pizza - got the small Carmine. But they get an extra star for the sharp kid working there on Friday night 6/26) making the pizza. He's a smart guy and an asset to the company.

Unimpressed, and will not not be ordering again. As you can see, I ordered a half double pepperoni pizza. What I noticed as I picked it up was how light it was. I had to open and double check to make sure it was large as I was heading out of the building. After spending 16.93, I was thinking I ended up with a medium or small pizza since it felt so light in the box. Neither my daughter nor I liked the crust, nor the taste of the salty pizza. I can get cheaper, better pizza elsewhere...I feel compelled to post a follow up to this. I have eaten several times since this origional posting at Carmines. Though my food consisted of cold Italian subs. The subs were good, as was the service. My review of the pizza will stand since Carmine's is a "Pizza" shop, I've readjusted from 1 to three stars. If Google would let me adjust to 3.5 stars I would, however, three it is.

Great food, and fast service!!

Busy place during lunch. I've only had their pizza for take-out. They have a wide variety of pizza options and they take care in re-heating it, which is nice.

We told them that we were first time customers & was excited to try them out. We ordered a ham & cheese stromboli with the sauce on the side. Everything was fine until we got the bill. The menu price was $11.99 for the small stromboli and we were charged $13.99 & 75 cents for the sauce on the side. When I brought it to their attention, they did not honor the menu price. We will never go back. RIP off.

We got takeout here for a family celebration. The food wasn't a life-altering experience, but it was decent. I liked the mayo-and=vinegar combo on my BLT. The barbecue wings were pretty much everything you could expect from barbecue wings. I had parts of the cheesy dishes (pizza and stromboli), and while I thought they were not cheesy enough for my tastes, that could be because I only had small bits. I've had pizza from here before, and it was acceptable. Overall, would recommend.

I really love the place. I go there with my mom and dad all the time, and everytime, I've never had any issues with the food. And the people are friendly. One guy there, Tony, is really nice. I go there alot, and Tony knows me and my parents, so everytime we walk in the door, he always comes and greets us. Its overall a great place!

They have bak lava!

The food is always good. No matter how busy they get the service is great. And if you're from the area, are probably going to run into somebody you know.

Just picked up a sandwich and fries at Carmine’s. Had to wait 20 minutes longer than expected and I understand the situation. It was curbside pick up when I finally got their attention they had no record of what I ordered and then they came out two minutes later and they miraculously found it I bring it home which is only a quarter of a mile down the road everything that I got a cold last time I will ever buy aT Carmines

Stopped at Carmine's while traveling. We were greeted with all smiles. Service was quick and food was tasty. Also had their gluten free pizza which was the best I've had in a long time. Very pleased with our decision to dine in. Very clean with a great atmosphere.

Been going to Carmine's for years. Used to live in the area and loved this place. I now live in Allentown, but try to get down here a few times per year to get some awesome food!

the food is pretty good. my only issue is that the food never comes out together. I finished my meal before my husband's was brought to the table.

The strongest reason for eating here is their GREAT service! They employ young friendly people who are eager to please and there’s always plenty of people on staff. No long waits even when the place is packed. The food is fine. Nothing’s memorable but I’ve never had anything bad either. Very typical little non-formal corner pizza joint that serves typical pizza joint fair but with plenty of seating. Eat here. It’s inexpensive, reliable and local.

I'm amazed at the positive reviews. I've been eating this food as long as the place has existed because there are basically no delivery options to my house, but it has never been good, just convenient. After Visco opened (they deliver to me), we'll never get another thing from Carmine's. The pizza is totally forgettable. The cheesesteaks are actually pretty good so stick with that. The cold sandwiches are okay. I ordered a pasta dish that was absolutely disgusting (carbonara - was basically dripping wet with soggy chunks of bacon that didn't even look cooked). That was probably the last thing I've ever ordered. I'm dating myself, but Eagle Hut was soooo much better back in the day. What a miserable replacement Parkside is.

Got a slice of pizza 6.00 it was small as anything i dont know what happened2years ago u couldnt fit a sluce in a box very disappointed

If you like a thin pizza, then this is for you! It's not the kind that will sit heavy on your stomach like some places! Not too greasy either. When you walk in, you immediately smell the parmesan cheese... smells good! Sauce is different than any other I've had (I try every pizza place for fun!). It's not too sweet, but also not too boring. Not my absolute favorite pizza, but better than some of the other greasy places around by far!

If your just grabbing a quick lunch for take out or enjoying a nice sit down meal with a friend or a colleague Carmine's is the place to go. Friendly atmosphere, great service, and delicious food. Great selection of pizza by the slice and the hoagies and cheese steaks are really good too!

I order delivery all the time from here. I have kids and so I especially appreciate how slow the two drivers are in my driveway. The one drives a black Camry and the other drives a green CRV. And my food always arrives hot with nothing missing. Well once in awhile they forget a sauce but they always bring it right out! And Joe the owner is so nice! The cheesesteaks are the best in the area!

Carmine’s has just been a classic place for every since I can remember they where always the spot in town! Pizza is great I almost always get something different, loaded French fries, cheese steak is really good here! Calzone or Stromboli can not go wrong. There apps are very good as well a great local neighborhood place!

I've been coming here for over two years and I'm never disappointed. Love their pizza, cheese steaks, meatball parm subs, garlic bread, and salads. Have never tried any pasta dishes so I can’t comment on them, but the sauce for the pizza and subs is wonderful. Always clean and comfortable inside and service is super friendly.

This place used to be amazing. In the past couple of years, their prices have increased while the quality and amounts have decreased. There are so many other options that offer delivery or carryout that are better. Sorry Carmine's. The cheesesteak game is rough, I guess.

TOMATO PIE. I don't care where you are currently getting your tomato pie--it's second rate compared to Carmine's Parkside Tomato pie. All their food is really great. But the tomato pie is beyond your wildest expectations. EAT THE TOMATO PIE!

Had issue over a typo with my tip. Owner was very respectful, refunded my money and even followed up with a letter apologizing again. The food here is fabulous and I would highly recommend them.
